Since we started doing them in 1998 as “The City Guides and Directories Conference,” The Kelsey Group’s annual Interactive Local Media conference generally represents the state of the local online industry. It is the official “no man’s land” between newspapers, Yellow Pages, portals, city guides, verticals and technology innovators.
This year’s event, in The City of Brotherly Love, has proved to be no exception.
About 70 speakers have been selected by Matt Booth, who is running things this year. In addition to the big name keynotes, and Kelsey’s research, there is going to be some real drilling down on key local verticals, like Autos and Real Estate. There’s a lot of social media too. (I’ll be moderating a bunch of the panels).
What’s cutting edge here? Lots! But I especially look forward to meeting and/or catching up with:
Dan Rubinstein, Google
Spencer Rascoff, Zillow.com
Oliver Muoto, vFlyer
Scott Morrow, Citysearch
Tony Lee, Adicio
Tom Bates, Cox Enterprises /Kudzu.com
Really, I look forward to the whole event. The networking is the best, too.
