The Newmarks have been struggling with his self-funded wet dream for years. I looked at it for my clients. National advertisers? No. My clients need to know how many GRPs they're getting, and buying last minute doesn't get the job done.

Does Meg Whitman buy her airline tickets on Priceline? No. She needs to know she'll get to NYC at the time she needs. Price is important, but not the sole factor. Priceline and Bid4Spots are for bottom-feeders, not for players.

Sorry Newmarks, good idea, lousy business.
