Vivian's remarks were extremely compelling and I'd recommend anyone who is immersed in local to find and think about them. In addition to Peter's good summary, I'd add that she said several times how impressed she was by the passion with which NPR listeners participate. It is a key I think to creating sustainable media enterprises in the future. Well worth the listening.
