MerchantCircle Celebrates Registration of Millionth SMB

MerchantCircle has registered its millionth SMB, Nassau Avenue Nails of Islip, NY. Owner Danielle Biegler found out about MerchantCircle after searching for other local businesses nearby, and will receive a lifetime Merchant Circle tools, cool Merchant Circle gear and a new sign.

The million number represents roughly 6.7 percent of U.S. SMBs. It may not mean much in the context of Merchant Circle’s success, given that some SMBs unintentionally signed up for the service, and may not be regular users.

Yet the service has also built an undeniably impressive track record. Its merchants have written nearly 400,000 blog posts using its publishing platform; uploaded one million+ photos; and created more than 350,000 local coupons.

On the consumer side, the service, largely relying on search optimization, currently attracts 20 million unique visitors per month, making it akin to a large Internet Yellow Pages. Users have contributed more than 650,000 local business reviews.

  1. MC is a wonderful site for small businesses like mine. I get to network with other merchants in my own community as well as with merchants all over the nation. I also get to market my business every day. Using this site doesn’t mean to sign up and walk away. You have to remain active and build your reputation and the people will come and visit your site. Also other merchants are also customers so you are getting constant traffic to your site and building clientele. MC also has placed me on the first page of google and yahoo for free. We have a very active community and many of us support each other to help grow our businesses. I have definitely benefitted from MC and have made many business connections and have gotten clients by using it regularly. There is a reason that they have a million merchants! Go MC!

  2. Ive been in business for over 25 years .I can say from experience,”MerchantCircle really does care about small businesses” and they have helped my business to grow each year .I cant thank MerchantCircle enough!
    Happy 2010!

  3. Merchant Circle is a good source for local business to start their internet marketing campaigns.

  4. I have not received some of the benefits from Merchant Circle that I see from these comments. I have a window cleaning business in Boise ID. It has been less then a year working with merchant circle though. Maybe someone can give me some tips to make Merchant Circle work better for me?
